The admissions mechanism will still adhere to the provisions implemented and evaluated in previous years. The Acting Head of the Bandar Lampung City Education Office, M. Nur Ramdhan, explained that there are four admission pathways open for this year's PPDB. These four pathways include zoning, affirmative action, achievement, and transfer. According to him, all pathways are designed to provide a fair opportunity for all prospective students to access education at public schools. "The implementation of PPDB this year is essentially the same as last year. There are four admission pathways open: zoning, affirmative action, achievement, and transfer," said M. Nur Ramdhan. He explained that the zoning pathway prioritizes students who live near the school. Meanwhile, the affirmative action pathway is intended for students from low-income families to ensure they continue to have equal opportunities to receive quality education. The achievement pathway is open to students with academic and non-academic achievements. The transfer pathway is intended for students who have moved their domicile or whose parents have moved. The Bandar Lampung City Education Office also emphasized that the largest quota will be allocated to the zoning and affirmative action pathways as a demonstration of the government's commitment to equalizing access to education for the community. For the 2026/2027 academic year, all public junior high schools in Bandar Lampung City are targeted to accommodate approximately 15,000 new students. This target is expected to meet the educational needs of the community in various areas of Bandar Lampung City. To support a smooth registration process, the PPDB system will remain online. However, the Education Office will continue to provide direct support services at each school. This service is provided to assist parents and prospective students who encounter technical difficulties during the registration process or are unsure how to complete the online form. "Even though registration is online, the school still provides support services for those who need assistance to ensure the registration process runs smoothly," said Ramdhan. The Bandar Lampung City Government hopes that all stages of the Junior High School Admissions (PPDB) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year will proceed smoothly, transparently, and accountably. Furthermore, the system that has been prepared is expected to facilitate access to educational services fairly and equitably for the public. With orderly implementation and compliance with regulations, PPDB is expected to become a gateway for students to receive quality educational services and support the improvement of education quality in Bandar Lampung City.
