AC Boise vs Union Omaha | Press Conference | Nate Miller, Jake Dengler, and Jake Crull

Athletic Club Boise Head Coach Nate Miller, defender Jake Dengler, and defender Jake Crull met with the media following the club's 2-1 loss to One Knoxville on Thursday night at Athletic Club Boise Stadium. Miller said he was relatively pleased with much of his team's performance but pointed to missed chances in front of goal as the difference in the match. He noted that Athletic Club Boise created consistent opportunities, particularly from corner kicks, but failed to capitalize. Miller also described the match as strange, citing the number of fouls called during set pieces. He summed up the result by saying One Knox converted its opportunity in a crowded box while Athletic Club Boise was unable to finish a breakaway, adding, "that's fútbol.” Dengler said the team was disappointed to concede Knoxville’s first goal in the first half and believed the result did not reflect the overall performance. He felt Athletic Club Boise was the stronger side throughout the match and said the group expected to come away with all three points. Crull echoed that frustration, saying the team did well to draw fouls and create dangerous situations but was disappointed with how several calls were officiated throughout the match. He said the players remained frustrated with how the game was managed but stressed the importance of moving forward. Athletic Club Boise looks to bounce back on Sunday as they head on the road to Westchester.
