Did you know the story behind the famous "Sodas"? Today I visited two of the most iconic sodas in San José, Costa Rica: Soda Tapia, famous for its Lorenzo Sandwich, and Soda Castro, renowned for its delicious fruit salad, among many other dishes. Today we'll investigate these small, family-run restaurants, steeped in history and culture, and uncover their curious origins… Why "Sodas"? Do they have anything to do with carbonated soft drinks?
