The prospects for coal in Agriculture | ICSC Webinars

The effects of climate change and industrial farming practice are impacting soil fertility, biodiversity, and food production in the agriculture sector amid rising demand. The United Nations (UN) has initiatives in place to help understand and counter desertification and has highlighted a global decline in soil health, but there are fears that the loss of fertile land is now accelerating. Fertilisers are critically important to world food production and despite high prices ammonia production is steadily increasing, but face controversy over nitrogen and phosphate-based pollution.
