Hubs and Clusters for CCUS – their role in decarbonisation | ICSC Webinars
Carbon capture from power plants and industrial processes is not new, but global decarbonisation efforts have switched increasingly to the development of projects capable of capturing and storing CO2 from multiple co-located emitters. The ‘Hub & Cluster’ concept provides shared, open-access infrastructure to individual companies, greatly reducing the cost and technical risk of carbon capture and storage compared to each adopting its own dedicated, stand-alone system. Numerous projects are being developed around the world, intended to offer a sustainable, cost-effective route for the decarbonisation of major industrial clusters. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Presenter: Dr Stephen Mills https://www.sustainable-carbon.org/te...
