If you enjoy authentic homemade recipes, don't forget to Like, Share, Subscribe, and leave a comment telling us which recipe you'd like to see next. 🍲 FULL LONG RECIPE Ingredients 12–15 garlic cloves 2 large onions, roughly chopped 4 ripe tomatoes, chopped 3 dried red chilies 2 green chilies 1 inch ginger 2 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 8–10 curry leaves ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chili powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder Salt to taste 1 teaspoon tamarind pulp (optional) Fresh coriander leaves 2 tablespoons water (if needed) For Tempering 1 tablespoon oil ½ teaspoon mustard seeds ½ teaspoon cumin seeds 2 dried red chilies 6–8 curry leaves A pinch of asafoetida (hing) 👨🍳 METHOD Step 1 Heat oil in a heavy pan. Step 2 Add garlic and sauté until lightly golden. Step 3 Add onions and cook until soft and slightly caramelized. Step 4 Add ginger and green chilies. Step 5 Mix in dried red chilies. Step 6 Add chopped tomatoes and cook until completely soft. Step 7 Season with turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Step 8 Cook until the oil begins to separate from the mixture. Step 9 Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely. Step 10 Transfer everything to a blender. Step 11 Add tamarind pulp and coriander leaves. Step 12 Blend into a smooth or slightly coarse chutney, according to your preference. Step 13 Prepare the tempering by heating oil. Step 14 Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Step 15 When they begin to crackle, add hing, curry leaves, and dried red chilies. Step 16 Pour the hot tempering over the prepared chutney. Step 17 Mix gently and let the flavors combine for a few minutes.
