'The Hanging Tree' from the Hunger Games in Irish - as Gaeilge

#TheHungerGames #HungerGames #asGaeilge lyrics: Suzanne Collins music: James Newton Howard, Jeremiah Fraites and Wesley Schultz translation: Natalie Nic Shim Something slightly different for a change. I love Rachel Zegler’s interpretation of ‘The Hanging Tree’ for the new Hunger Games film, so I decided to have a stab at it. I have to say, I found it a lot easier than most of the Disney songs, and it suited my voice better. (My singing still leaves a lot to be desired, but I feel it is marginally less terrible than usual!) I also discovered that my bathroom has pretty awesome acoustics! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video. Please feel free to use my translation; however, I would ask that you credit me as translator (and the original composers, of course). And please send me a link so I can hear you perform it - I'd love to hear it sung by someone more tuneful than me! Go raibh maith agaibh! LYRICS ’mBeidh tú, ’mbeidh tú, romham ag meánoíche? Mar ar chroch siad an fear a mharaigh triúr, más fíor Is aisteach an mac an saol ’s ní bheadh sé níos aistí Dá gcasfaí le chéile muid insan chrann údaí ’mBeidh tú, ’mbeidh tú, romham ag meánoíche? Mar ar ghlaoigh sé ar a ghrá rith gan breathnú siar Is aisteach an mac an saol ’s ní bheadh sé níos aistí Dá gcasfaí le chéile muid insan chrann údaí ’mBeidh tú, ’mbeidh tú, romham ag meánoíche? Mar ar dhúirt mé leat teitheadh go mbeadh muid beirt saor Is aisteach an mac an saol ’s ní bheadh sé níos aistí Dá gcasfaí le chéile muid insan chrann údaí ’mBeidh tú, ’mbeidh tú, romham ag meánoíche? Caith muince den chnáib, liomsa taobh le taobh Is aisteach an mac an saol ’s ní bheadh sé níos aistí Dá gcrochfaí le chéile muid insan chrann údaí
