Jose Arturo Molina - FSTA Artist Feature

ARTURO MOLINA is mentor to violinists of this generation. As a conductor, violinist and teacher, he is known for his simple and understated style, but with compelling results. Trained at the prestigious conservatories in Moscow and Kiev, and concertmaster to the orchestras in the Philippines, Mr. Molina has devoted his life training young artists. He was a faculty member at the University of the Philippines College of Music. In 2004, upon the ceremonial passing of the baton from his mentor, Basilio Manalo, he led the Manila Symphony Orchestra until 2018. FSTA sits with the pillars of the Philippine string community in our "Artist Series." Being generous musicians and teachers at heart, they have graciously agreed to share their knowledge and experience that span decades and continents to the next generation of rising Filipino musicians.
