Gravity's Rainbow: A Great Swamp of Paranoia
In this lecture, we'll discover some of the main themes and literary devices that run throughout Thomas Pynchon's seminal postmodernist novel, "Gravity's Rainbow". Detailing the mysterious erectile foreshadowing of Tyrone Slothrop, the development of the V2 rocket and its bombardment of London, and paranoiac conspiracies of the sans-/post-war individual, this novel has it all. Nevertheless, considering its reputation for impenetrability, I found it necessary to provide some hopefully useful information. Enjoy!
