The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon | A Baudrillardian Conspiracy

In this lecture, we'll be examining the themes and critiques behind Thomas Pynchon's postmodern paranoid detective novel, "The Crying of Lot 49". I will use the work of theorist Jean Baudrillard in "Simulacra and Simulation" as well as "Symbolic Exchange and Death" to help better understand the work of Pynchon in this novel, which strikes me as extremely connected and richly interesting.
