(RARE) Federal State of Austria Anthem - "Sei gesegnet ohne Ende" (1929-38)

"Sei gesegnet ohne Ende" ("Be Blessed Without End") was the national anthem of the First Austrian Republic (1919-1934) between 1929-1934 and the Federal State of Austria (1934-1938) that followed it. It is also known as the Kernstock-Hymne after Ottokar Kernstock who wrote its lyrics. Many Austrians favoured the melody of the imperial anthem over that of "Deutschösterreich, du herrliches Land" ("German-Austria, You Wonderful Land") and continued to sing it during the First Republic; the Kernstock-Hymne was written to give new lyrics to the old tune. Nevertheless, Austrians continued to sing different lyrics to the same tune depending on their political stance, including the words of the Kernstock-Hymne, the Kaiserhymne and "Deutschlandlied" ("Song of Germany"), the anthem of the German Reich.
