Back at home, I'll plant fresh dill and parsley on my windowsill, then bake one of my favorite cakes — the famous Milk Girl Cake. While the cake rests overnight, a rainy summer morning arrives. Before the rain begins, I head out to buy fresh strawberries, raspberries, and flowers that I'll dry as everlasting blooms. Together we'll prepare strawberries and raspberries for drying to enjoy homemade fruit tea during the colder months, decorate the cake with fresh berries, and end the day with a warm cup of tea, homemade cake, and the peaceful sound of summer rain.
