This weekend I ran 50 miles at a Backyard Ultra! I only started running at the age of 37 (I'm 45 now) so felt I was a bit late to the running party but how wrong I was. It has taken me from Couch to 5K, to half marathons, marathons, and now running 50 miles. My weight has gone up and down over the years, as has my fitness, but the one thing that stayed consistent is that running kept challenging me and gave me an outlet to improve my mental health.
