[SBST] Launch of the New Northeast Bound Terminus - NE18 Punggol Coast - Opening Ceremony and Tour Filmed on 10 December 2024 Between 10am to 12pm, an opening ceremony for the new Punggol Coast station took place. Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat (didn’t film) and Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean started off with the speeches, then the launch and tour of the station. 21 years after North-East Line opened, this is the 2nd new station to open, after Woodleigh in 2011. However Woodleigh was completed in 2003. Punggol Coast is a completely new station meant to serve the new SIT Punggol Branch. Punggol Coast opens to the public on 10 December 2024 at 3pm. SGT2581 Announcement: With LTA announcing the retirement of the First, Second and Third Generation Trains in Singapore, (Kawasaki Heavy Industries Contract 151, Siemens Aktiengesellschaft C651 and Kawasaki Nippon Sharyo C751B), both of us will be filming more of these trains on both NSL and EWL, to commemorate the great service that these trains have provided.
