FIRST TRAIN FROM PUNGGOL COAST MRT STATION! 🇸🇬🚆 SBS Transit North East Line Punggol Coast→Punggol

Punggol Coast MRT Station on the North East Line (NEL) officially begins operations on 10 December 2024 at 3pm. With the addition of this new terminal station, the NEL now comprises 17 stations, stretching 22 kilometres from Punggol Coast to HarbourFront. Over 200,000 households are within a 10-minute walk from an NEL station. Residents of Punggol North living near Punggol Coast MRT Station can now enjoy shorter commutes to the city and other parts of Singapore. For instance, travel time from Punggol North to Outram Park has been reduced to approximately 45 minutes, compared to the previous 60 minutes via a bus transfer to Punggol town centre. The new station also enhances rail connectivity to new key locations, including the JTC Business Park, the Singapore Institute of Technology, and the upcoming Punggol Coast Mall. Punggol Coast MRT Station is situated at the heart of the Punggol Digital District (PDD) and includes a public space at its entrance, designed to host events and community programmes, encouraging interaction and engagement. An artistic highlight of the station is the installation Trajectories by local artist Zul Othman (ZERO).
