Singapore MRT Map Expansion

As the Singapore rail network continues to expand, its visual representation in the form of System Maps has to change to fit new lines and stations while maintaining a clean look. Watch how the System Map has evolved four times in more than 30 years since the opening of the first stretch in 1987. Proposed future lines and line extensions and their interchanges are speculations based on locations and alignments of soil investigation works. As of December 2021, no official announcement has been made on the exact route alignment. These lines are denoted as dotted strokes in this video. The dates for the commencement of rail services from 2022 are to be advised. Names, station codes and colours of future lines and stations are to be announced.
