Fugitivo de assalto milionário a avião pagador no Brasil é preso na Bolívia

Fabrício Salvador da Silva, one of those involved in the audacious heist of a payroll plane in Caxias do Sul (RS) two years ago, was arrested in Bolivia. He was a fugitive and living comfortably in Santa Cruz de La Sierra. The crime resulted in the theft of R$ 14 million and caused great commotion due to its cinematic execution. The heist occurred at Hugo Cantergiani Airport and involved nine criminals who used fake police vehicles to access the site. The gang exchanged gunfire with security guards for 11 minutes while attempting to blow up an armored truck with employees inside. A military police officer and one of the robbers died in the action. Fabrício's arrest was made possible thanks to cooperation between the Brazilian and Bolivian police. After being captured, he was immediately handed over to Brazilian authorities.
