The "Jiang Jun Fu 1936 (General's Mansion) 1936" in Hualien City was originally a Japanese military officer dormitory complex at the Hualien Port Office during the Japanese era and was completed in 1936. Our government invested more than NT$ 200 million and after three years of renovation, it was grandly opened in 2024. Unexpectedly, Hualien was hit by the 403 earthquake, and Hualien tourism suffered severe damage. Our visit to "General's Mansion 1936", dining and purchasing mixed souvenirs is considered to be a way of expressing support for the local economy.
