Mwenda Visits Dei Biopharma: $500B Project Set to Create 40,000 Jobs
Veteran journalist, Andrew Mwenda, has visited Dei BioPharma Limited in Matugga, Wakiso District, to assess the progress of the pharmaceutical manufacturing project following a public disagreement with President Yoweri Museveni over government funding. The visit stems from Mwenda’s criticism of such investments, which he has described as risky and “white elephants,” while President Museveni maintains the project is a strategic step toward Uganda’s industrialization.
