I’ll go through setup, hand motions, and my favorite troubleshooting tips so your chain ply stays neat and consistent. Chain plying is one of the best techniques for keeping color blocks and fiber types together, because you’re essentially looping the single back on itself like a crochet chain. I’ll show you how I manage twist, keep loops from getting sloppy, smooth out the “bump,” adjust tension as the bobbin fills, and what to do if your yarn breaks mid-ply.
