How to Make and Spin Rolags That Draft Like Butter!

Fluffy rolags make long draw spinning so much easier! In this video, I’ll show you the one thing I don’t do when taking rolags off a blending board and share lots of tips for a better spin. I’m prepping fiber for Tour de Fleece using my homemade blending board, a mix of stash fibers, and a very special new supported spindle from Mingo and Asho. Let's make loose, lofty rolags, talk about why tightly pulled rolags can be harder to draft, and then spin them using a supported spindle and a woolen, double-drafted longdraw. If your rolags flip inside out, feel too dense, stiff, or don’t draft the way you want them to, this might help you rethink how you’re taking them off the blending board. This is a cozy Tour de Fleece prep project, and I’ll keep working through these rolags slowly as a meditative travel spin. Keep an eye on my Community page and Instagram for updates. Happy spinning! __________________________________________________ 🛍️ JillianEve Shop - https://jillianeve-fiber-art.myshopif... ~~ Social Media ~~ 📷 Instagram   / jillianevefa   🎉 Patreon   / jillianeve   📰 Blog https://www.jillianeve.com ⏰ TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@jillianevefa?... --- 📧 For business inquiries send an e-mail to [email protected] _________________________________________________ 🎵 Music used in JillianEve videos is licensed through Artlist.io *I use some affiliate links.
