97 hours to turn a raw sheeps fleece into a knitted jumper.
Join me while I turn a raw Texel/Blue Faced Leicester sheeps fleece into a cable knit jumper. Here's a break down of the time each section took - Fleece washing 1 hour Carding 16 hours 30 mins for 920g Spinning 18 hours 30 mins for 1230m of two ply yarn. knitting 61 hours Bringing it to a grand total of 97 hours from sheep to sweater. (It took me over 7 hours to create this video 😅) The knitting pattern is a modified sweater No20 by My Favourite Things Knitwear.
