Ensaio Hyundai i30 N Fastback [Review Portugal]

In this week's video, our expert Marvin Tortas was behind the wheel of the new Hyundai i30 N Fastback. A car with clearly sporty pretensions, but which at the same time doesn't forget the practical and family-friendly characteristics of the compact car on which it's based. It was 2015 when Hyundai went to Munich to find the man responsible for creating some of the best BMWs of all time. The goal was simple: to create a Hyundai sports division as good as, or even better than, BMW's M division. But did Albert Biermann manage to make history at Hyundai? The i30 Fastback N was the third model adapted by Hyundai's N division. And why the "N," you ask? Well, the city of Namyang, in South Korea, serves as Hyundai's "mother house," and all models in the "N" division are developed and tested at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany. The co-existence of the letter N in these two locations gave rise to one of the most appreciated names by "petrolheads," and most feared by R.S., GTI, and Type R enthusiasts. The i30N Fastback presents itself as a car with clear sporting pretensions, but at the same time doesn't forget the practical and family-friendly characteristics of the compact car on which it's based, thus trying to combine the best of both worlds. We know it's impossible to "please everyone," but what the South Korean brand has done with this i30 Fastback N is truly remarkable. It takes us less time to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h than to pronounce the car's full name, and this is just a sign that Hyundai, more than just hitting the bullseye with its performance models, has fired a "bullet" that wounded its "rivals." We also add that, starting September 1, 2019, all Hyundai cars will have a 7-year warranty with no mileage limit.
