Marian Jazmik - Friday Feature Artist

This week, as part of our Friday Feature Artist interview series, we are spoilt to be exploring the artworks of Marian Jazmik. Marian's work explores the tiny details of nature that many pass by. She uses macro photography to capture inspirational surfaces, such as lichen, fungi, tree bark, foliage, shells, mould, and algae. Her chosen medium is textile materials and she is driven by the construction, manipulation, and deconstruction of these fabrics principally by heat. Along with free-motion stitching on the sewing machine to add texture, depth, and detail to the pieces.
