Born in the picturesque town of Montalcino, surrounded by lush landscapes and ancient oaks, Carlotta's artistic journey began amidst rich artistic influence. After pursuing studies in editorial illustration in Milan, Carlotta returned to her roots. The year 2011 marked a significant milestone in Carlotta's journey. She exhibited as a sculptor for the first time, captivating audiences with her innovative creations. Her 3D paper sculptures garnered widespread acclaim, propelling her into the spotlight and earning her a coveted place alongside world-renowned artists. Despite life's challenges, Carlotta's journey was marked by resilience and determination. Balancing the joys of parenthood with her artistic pursuits proved to be a daunting task, yet she persevered. Through moments of loss and upheaval, Carlotta found strength in embracing life's transient nature, cultivating a deeper appreciation for its fleeting beauty, which now beautifully informs her work. Today, living on her ancestral family winery, Nostravita, Carlotta is guided by the harmonious rhythms of nature and focused on her current research. She experiments with colours extracted from minerals and plants and rediscovers ancient recipes that have been long forgotten. Her art is a collaboration with nature, as she weaves rich meaning into her work. Donโt miss out on this enlightening conversation with Carlotta Parisi as she shares insights into her past and current work, as well as her deep sense of passion for creating incredibly authentic work.
