Originally, Valse sentimentale was written for piano and was the last of six pieces in opus 51. One of the most striking, sublime and touching works in the history of classical music was composed for financial reasons: as follows from a letter to his brother Modest Tchaikovsky, Pyotr Ilyich was in financial difficulties and wrote the music which was in high demand at that time. Over time, the work became so popular that it was transcribed for a wide variety of instrumental compositions. The very version for violin and piano was performed by Oleksii Semenenko. This is already a legendary recording from the Semifinals of one of the most prestigious competitions – the Queen Elizabeth Competition 2015 , where Oleksii won the Second Prize for Ukraine. …………………………………………………………………………. 🎬 Watch other videos: ▶️ Boris Garlytsky (violin) and Leonid Gorkhov (cello) play in the VERE MUSIC ACADEMY concert:    • Борис Гарлицький (скрипка) та Леонід Горох...   ▶️ Alexey Semenenko (violin) plays Sibelius at the 2015 Queen Elisabeth 2015:    • Sibelius – Violin Concerto in D minor. Ole...   ▶️ Dmytro Udovychenko (violin) plays Bach:    • Бах – Чакона з Партити No. 2 ре мінор для ...   …………………………………………………………………………. ☝️ All recordings of online concerts VERE MUSIC FUND can be found in the Video section on our Facebook page: https://bit.ly/3aCVFMq ………………………………………………………………………….
