#5 Burn-Deep Purple-Drum Cover

Deep Purple & therefore Ian Paice has been a part of my life since I can remember. My Father always played them in the house & in the car. They were a part of growing up for me. As a drummer himself, he admired Ian & when I was old enough to understand, so then did I. Ian Paice has such a great groove & feel. His parts were always so inventive & distinctive. Think how Burn, Fireball, Black Night or Highway Star would sound played by any one of us mere mortals; not the same, right? A lot less busy, right? Yeah, but nowhere near as thrilling. His drumming on those songs was so exciting & could very easily have been seen as over the top but he made it benefit the song. He wasnt showing-off. He was setting the standard for the rest of us whilst being faithful to the music. Not an easy line to tread & that alone makes him a legend! Thank you for the music & inspiration Ian Paice. Thanks also to my Dad for raising us on all the greats.
