First Solo Flight With My Newly Purchased Dakota
I purchased this Piper Dakota beauty in Houston, TX on Dec 24, 2019 and flew it from Houston Executive Airport (KTME) back to Linden Airport, NJ (KLDJ) on the following day, i.e., Christmas Day. Although I've logged over 12 hours in another Dakota in the past, I decided to practice various maneuvers, including slow flight, power on/off stalls, steep turns, etc., with the local CFI for about 2.5 hours. This is so I would feel more comfortable before flying the 1,400 miles back to NJ with a high-performance aircraft. This video starts with me going solo doing Touch & Go's in KTME in my new bird.
