MUJI HOUSE presents "HOUSE AS LIFE" — a series exploring the future of "house" by visiting those who create their own unique lifestyles. By learning from various houses and lifestyles beyond MUJI houses, we explore the essence of a house as a "vessel for living." In our third episode, we visited the house of architects Himari Nishikawa and Yusuke Sakazume in Suginami, Tokyo. Their house features a modern "annex" built on a limited plot of about 33 square meters. This annex functions to blur the boundaries between the house and the city. Thinking about "where the house begins and ends" may provide hints for actively enjoying urban life.
