In "HOUSE AS LIFE," MUJI HOUSE visits creative individuals to explore the future of what a "house" can be. By learning from diverse ways of living beyond MUJI houses, we seek inspiration for lifestyles and living spaces, exploring the house as a vessel for living. Episode #06 visits the house of shop and cafe owner Kanako Higashino in Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture. Her renovated single-story house features insulation so effective you can wear short sleeves even during freezing winters, along with plenty of rescued antique items and reclaimed materials. "A great space is simply one that is loved." Just as Ms. Higashino says, every corner of her house is filled with warmth.
