Part 2 of our Steep Point series is here! Come with us as we leave the comfort of Shelter Bay campground and explore Edel Land National Park on a day trip. We head out to Steep Point, the most westerly point of mainland Australia and experience the slow-going rugged limestone terrain to enjoy watching the giant waves from the deep blue Indian Ocean crashing against the beautiful white Zuytdorp Cliffs. Back at camp, we have to change sites from beach front to a little more secluded site and show you guys our “going back to basics” set up. Rain on our last full day dampened our spirits slightly, but when the amount of rain closes Useless Loop Road and the potential of having to stay out in paradise for another night was on the cards, we weren’t too worried.
