MEDITACIÓN AVANZADA Atención a la Respiración 30 minutos

Mindfulness meditation. Good morning!! Today I propose an advanced meditation with breath awareness. When I say advanced, I don't mean that it's more complicated than my usual meditations, but rather that I've left longer periods of silence to allow you to enter a state of greater concentration. In this meditation, we will pay attention to different aspects of breathing (abdomen, chest, ribs, throat, nostrils, etc.). With so much space for silence, it's very likely that thoughts will come to you. The complexity of the exercise lies in, over and over again, every time a thought comes to you that distracts your attention from your breathing, you have to notice it as quickly as possible and return your attention to the exercise; that is, detect the thought and then let it pass. It's easy to find yourself chasing a thought at some point during meditation without realizing it, and from one thought you move to another and another, and before you know it, several minutes have passed... don't worry, it's completely normal... we can't ask our mind to stop thinking; it's what it always does. So, the first thing is not to blame ourselves or our mind, but simply to notice and, with kindness but also with commitment, return our attention to the exercise. As I've told you on numerous occasions, it's not about stopping the movement of the "thinking self," but about awakening the skills of the "observing self" to the thinking self. In other words, making our thoughts conscious and developing our capacity for attention.
