Capitalism occasionally has illustrious apologists, one of them being Dr. Dr. Rainer Zitelmann. "I love capitalism" is emblazoned on his T-shirt, yet the life of the author and entrepreneur has taken a remarkable turn – as a student, Zitelmann still moved in radical left-wing circles that even flirted with Maoism. After his conversion to the doctrines of salvation of the free market, he published no fewer than 26 books – all of which sing praises to capitalism. In his latest work, "The 10 Errors of Anti-Capitalists: A Critique of the Critique of Capitalism," Zitelmann, despite the title suggesting otherwise, does not argue theoretically at all, relying solely on hard facts to refute the left's critique of capitalism. The fact that these facts are carefully selected and by no means "ideology-free" should come as no surprise, nor should the praise from right-wing journalists for this confusing and intellectually impressively simple work be surprising. Despite this, or perhaps precisely because of this, Zitelmann's works usually land high on the bestseller lists, and the national-liberal author is also a welcome guest on talk shows.
