Made with wheat berries, chickpeas, white beans, dried fruits, nuts and warm spices, ashure is a rich, comforting dessert that has been enjoyed in Türkiye for generations. It is traditionally made during the month of Muharram and is often shared with family, friends and neighbours. In this step-by-step recipe video, we'll show you exactly how we make ashure at home.
