Madeira and Canary's Lanzarote | Ep. 202

We spend several days at the Portuguese island of Madeira to recuperate from our 9 day crossing from southern Ireland and, of course, to explore this lovely island. Funchal is the capital city and it is bustling and fun. The waterfront is welcoming and enjoyable. We got to see a lot of the island by signing up for a full-day, guided tour which touched on several sights and activities. A highlight was the natural pools found along the northwestern coast. We spend two nights at sea as we cross from Madeira to the island of Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands. The volcanic nature of Lanzarote is awe-inspiring. What a unique island. Join us next time as we embark on our first of two legs which will have us crossing the Atlantic Ocean – don’t miss it! Thanks for watching!
