Climbing Out of My 39ft Well Before It Collapses

I made it to water. Now I have to get out. After hand digging this well 39 feet deep through ancient glacial debris, it’s time to remove the shoring, set the casing, and climb back out without everything collapsing in behind me. Using a homemade electric winch system and rope hoist, I cut and pull 8-foot sections of shoring, filling the well back in as I go. Every step is slow, heavy, and risky.
