Abschied der letzten SBB-EuroCity – Ein letztes Mal lokbespannt durchs Rheintal | SwissRails

On December 13, 2025, the last SBB EuroCity services in German daytime traffic took place. This year’s timetable change also brings many updates – and this time, especially many farewells. EuroCity trains 6/7/8/9 to Germany will no longer run as locomotive-hauled trains with SBB Apm and Bpm coaches. On the occasion of this farewell, SBB, Deutsche Bahn, and Elvetino organized a special send-off with Apm panoramic coaches and special locomotives ahead of the last trains. For the finale, the final services were given the traditional names “Rheingold”, “Rheinpfeil” and “Berner Oberland”.
