This time, our journey to hidden hot springs takes us to Nagano Prefecture... We visited a hot spring resort not far from the Kamikochi Sawando bus terminal. A hot spring village with magnificent emerald green, milky-white water... Shirabone Onsen... As expected, it was the off-season and many places were closed, but we finally found a guesthouse that accepted day-trippers. With a clear blue sky and a superb open-air bath, it was a wonderful hot spring village that we would like to revisit. After stopping by Narai-juku, a place I've always wanted to visit, we headed north to a hot spring with orange-colored medicinal water...
