This time, we embark on a road trip through the Agano River in the Shimogoshi region of Niigata Prefecture. The journey begins at the famous Tsukioka Onsen. We wander through the hot spring town in search of its emerald green waters. In the Gozu Onsenkyo area, we visit the public baths of Izuyu Onsen and Murasugi Onsen, enjoying the beloved local baths such as Kahoji Public Bath, Izuyu Public Bath, and Yakushi no Yu. We savor local specialties at Kawakami Tofu and the Aga no Sato roadside station as we head towards Aga Town. We break out in a cold sweat after soaking in a scorching hot spring recommended by a local, and are delighted to discover a superb local Chinese restaurant in Tsugawa. We enjoy the nearby hot springs and finally arrive at Sakihana Onsen. The Agano River Hot Spring Road is packed with Niigata's hot springs.
