Five years ago, on one of my first trips to Costa Rica, I hiked the trails of Hacienda La Chimba in search of a good view and a memorable photo. What I didn't know at the time was that Costa Rica would eventually become a place I returned to again and again, or that one day I'd spend an entire summer living just down the road from the very same place. Join me as I revisit this magical coffee farm nestled in the mountains above San José, home to lush hiking trails, panoramic views of the Central Valley, and one of the largest Buddha statues in Central America. Along the way, we'll wander through coffee fields, discover hidden gems, reconnect with a little childlike wonder, and eat the biggest cheeseburger in Costa Rica.
