Aiden’s Story of Sandhoff Disease (Finding Joy in Everything)
Aiden was diagnosed with a rare and fatal genetic condition called Sandhoff Disease. It is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that slowly takes away a child’s ability to do things like sit up, smile, move, see, and swallow. It is a relentless and devastating disease that affects the brain and spinal cord at a cellular level. His family has shared a heartfelt journey of resilience and love to raise awareness and inspire hope. Although Aiden faced new challenges every day, he never let his disease slow him down. I feel fortunate to have met such a kind and loving family, and I will always treasure the invaluable time I spent talking with them. My deepest condolences to his family and to everyone who loved him so dearly. Rest in Peace Aiden, you will be missed. To learn more about Aiden's story, please visit: https://aidensstory.com/
