Inauguran patio para vehículos de plataforma en el Aeropuerto de Guadalajara

The Jalisco government inaugurated a new vehicle depot for ride-hailing services across from the Guadalajara International Airport, which will operate at least until the end of 2026. The facility, located on the Chapala highway, aims to regulate ride-hailing services and improve passenger mobility. The space covers more than 10,000 square meters and includes 62 waiting areas, passenger boarding and drop-off zones, as well as areas for shuttle buses. According to Governor Pablo Lemus, the project promotes competition among transportation services and strengthens security through vehicle registration and access control. The depot's continued operation beyond 2026 will depend on potential changes in federal regulations. The Jalisco government is in talks with the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) to allow ride-hailing vehicles to pick up passengers directly at the airport exits, which could modify the current use of this infrastructure.
