TRIP REPORT | First Time on Finnair A350! | London to Helsinki and Vienna | Finnair A350

Finnair Trip Report flying from London Heathrow to Vienna (via Helsinki) onboard one Finnair A350 and an A320 on a lovely summer day. A comfortable trip from London to Vienna with a connection at Helsinki airport, the hub of Finnair, onboard one A350 and an A320. This was my first time flying Finnair after the pandemic. I was pleasantly surprised by how they overcame their bad financial situation and returned to being a very nice option to fly with. After an amazing planespotting session at Heathrow Terminal 3, we boarded the Finnair A350 that would take us to Helsinki. A flight on an A350 is always great... but if it is just a 2-hour flight, it becomes just perfect. We took off to the west and quickly made a 180° turn to start our route. We crossed the Northern Sea and overflew Denmark, just before entering Sweden. From there we flew in direct course to Helsinki, where we landed ahead of the scheduled time of arrival. The connection at Helsinki airport was really easy. A quick passport control and we were at the departure gates looking for our A320 to Vienna. We boarded our A320 around 1 hour late as the plane arrived late. Later on, we knew the plane had the APU inoperative, and that would cause more delay. In the video, we'll talk a little about it. We landed around 1 hour late in Vienna after a nice flight over northern Europe. About the catering service, Finnair offers water and juice included on tickets and a buy-on-board menu on European flights. On top of that, they offer a pre-order service that we used today on both flights. I missed some more elaborate meals... but all we got was tasty. More and more airlines are starting to offer pre-order service, which is good for the passengers (better quality food) and for the airlines (less expenses on non-sold food). Now it's your turn!
