Easy Overwinter Red Banana - Ensete Maurelii (Dry Storage)

Thank you so much for watching my channel. In this episode I am sharing how to store ensete to save from frost. I normally do this when night time temperature drops to 4 degree celsius. If there was one off 2 degree celscius that has not harmed the plant. Red banana's big leaf are full of water and freezing temperature cause the water to freeze in the leaf tissue and which causes plant to rot. It is super easy to take care. Please ensure that all the soil from the corm has been washed off and you leave it upside down to drain all the water from leaves and stem. Store it in cupboard or loft or cellar. you can use shed/garage as long as the temperature doesn't go below 5 degree Celsius and always do the occasional check for rot! Thank you for watching.
