Storing My Large Ensete Plants For winter
In this video I cut back and dig up my Ensete ventricosum banana plants in order to store them over winter. Ensetes are not frost hardy and so need to be in a frost free location over winter. The easiest way to do this for large plants is to dry store them by removing their leaves and roots, leaving only their stem and corm, then storing them at low temperatures until the milder weather arrives in spring.
