Step by Step Instructions to Propagate Over 20 Red Abyssinian Ensete Maurelii Banana Plants

The Red Abyssinian Ensete Maurelii Banana plant doesn't usually grow pups or offsets so to propagate the plant it needs to be chopped down. In this video, I show step by step instructions to propagate the Red Abyssinian Ensete Maurelii Banana plant. I cut the Red Abyssinian plant down and dig it up to save the corm of the plant. The corm is then divided in half to stimulate it to grow sprouts. In a few months, the sprouts will be ready to divide to propagate. The hard part is to divide the sprouts because they grow so close together. Not every sprout will be saved because some will not have any roots. I planted a few in my garden and they grew great. The Red Abyssinian is a beautiful banana plant with large leaves with shades of reds. It is a great plant to grow in any tropical garden.
