Ep 434 | Boat Trip from Brixham to Torquay & Back Home Days | Weekly Vlog | Part 1 | 25 March (2026)
#videodiary #totnes #dailyvideoblog Tech Troubles, Mocha Squares & Live Music in Dartmouth | Daily Vlog | Saturday 21 March (2026) I had planned to catch the bus to Ashburton for a little explore, but the day had other ideas. Uploading the weekly vlog proved quite problematic, and in the end I spent most of the day trying to sort out computer issues. In between waiting for files to upload, I made a batch of mocha squares. A real childhood favourite and such a tasty treat. In the evening I headed over to Dartmouth to see Lady Nade perform live. She was absolutely brilliant and it felt like a lovely reward after a frustrating day. Sunshine, Preloved Style & Boat Jobs in Brixham | Daily Vlog | Sunday 22 March (2026) The sun was shining and the whole day just felt good. I was especially happy with my outfit. Everything I was wearing was preloved, either from charity shops or Vinted. A little nod to @thewholehome and @notneedingnew for the inspiration to step away from buying new. We headed over to Brixham where Glenn got on with a few boat jobs, before we returned to the flat and started tackling some DIY bits at home. A really satisfying and productive end to the week. A Jam Packed Monday, Boat Trip Nerves & Facing My Fears | Daily Vlog | Mon 23rd March (2026) This was such a full day. I don’t think I have ever known a Monday to feel quite so jam-packed. I started the day working while Glenn carried on with the DIY, getting the wall sorted. On his way back from picking up supplies, he bumped into Tim and Sara from Milton Keynes Boat Club, who were visiting the area. We met up for a coffee and had a really lovely catch-up. Later, we headed over to Brixham to take the boat out. I was still feeling incredibly nervous about it all. Thankfully, our friends Andy and Mat came out in their boat too. They are much more experienced, so it was a real comfort to follow them. We made our way over to Torquay, stopped for some dinner, and then headed back. I definitely felt calmer on the return journey. One of those real “feel the fear and do it anyway” moments. DIY Progress, A Trip to The Range & Missing the Sunshine | Daily Vlog | Tuesday 24th March (2026) Glenn carried on with building the shelving in the kitchen, making good progress with the DIY. After I finished work, we headed out to The Range to pick up some wood for the project. It was one of those grey, miserable days, a real contrast to the sunshine we had been enjoying in Alicante. I definitely found myself missing the warmth and blue skies. It is funny how quickly you get used to a bit of sunshine. Last Workday, One Year in Our Flat & A Midweek Roast | Daily Vlog Wednesday 25th March (2026) A Wednesday that feels like a Friday. My last day at work before heading off to France tomorrow, which always brings that end-of-week feeling. It is also a little milestone today. A year since we picked up the keys to the flat. It doesn’t quite feel possible that a whole year has passed, and it feels lovely to pause and reflect on how much has happened in that time. I pop out for a quick haircut, and of course make a stop at Cranch’s Sweet Shop to pick up some iced caramels for Sweet of the Week. Back at home I put together a quick and easy midweek roast dinner. Simple, comforting, and a nice way to round off the day before another little adventure begins. 🇫🇷✨ Welcome to A Life Full of Meaning I’m so glad you’re here.
