'Partition Orage パルチション オラジュウ' performed by NUS Guitar Ensemble at Springtide, held at NUS University Cultural Centre Theatre, Singapore, on 13th March 2022. Partition Orage has a literal meaning of ‘Score Storm’ in French. A fast-paced and ever-changing piece, journey through the raging tempest as the storm's momentum brings you through lightning, thunder and rain! The timpani plays the role of imitating thunder, and together with the orchestra, creates an image of a thunderstorm. Composed by Yuudai Hatanaka 畑中 雄大 Alto Cembalo Guitar: Goh Zhi Yue Timpani: Pang Shi Ying About us 🎸 NUS Guitar Ensemble (GENUS) is a student-run guitar ensemble located in the National University of Singapore, and a member of NUS Centre For the Arts. With a nearly 40-year-long history, the group boasts a wide repertoire ranging from major classical works to Japanese anime themes. In accordance with the Niibori method, GENUS utilises a set of guitars with varying pitches to produce an orchestral effect.
