BCB:“LA DEVALUACIÓN YA PASÓ CON ARCE”

The president of Bolivia's Central Bank, David Espinosa, asserted on Tuesday that the devaluation of the boliviano "already occurred during Arce's administration" and that the new flexible exchange rate merely formalizes the price the market had been dictating since 2023. In his initial assessment, he defended the system, stating that it began with "very positive results": the financial system moved more than US$17 million in 20,000 transactions, and foreign trade exceeded US$100 million in a single day, all proceeding normally.
