EP21 | T.R. - Boat Harbour

In this episode of "Tasmania Rediscovered", I leave Ulverstone behind and make an unplanned stop at Boat Harbour on Tasmania's north-west coast. Originally, this location was simply another pin in my Herbert J. King project planner. I wasn't expecting much from the photograph, nor was I convinced I would be able to recreate the original image with any degree of accuracy. But with time to spare before continuing on to Stanley, curiosity got the better of me. Standing where Herb King once stood almost 100 years ago, I discovered that this seemingly simple photograph tells a much larger story. While the coastline and seascape remain remarkably unchanged, the landscape beyond reveals a century of human development and changing lifestyles. Join me as I revisit Boat Harbour, recreate Herb's original photograph, and reflect on how some of the places we almost overlook can leave the deepest impression. šŸ“· Original photograph by Herbert J.
